I’m really excited to share with you guys one of my favorite muscle-building breakfast ideas today. This high protein breakfast scrambler incorporates several of my favorite foods to gain weight, and I’m confident that if you naturally skinny guys start your day off with a meal like this, your muscles will have no choice but to grow!
If you are a naturally skinny guy, you need to constantly consume healthy foods to gain weight. The healthier the weight gain food is, the better it will be for increasing your muscle-building anabolic hormones.
So many skinny guys think that the best food to gain weight is “a lot of anything.” I have always found that breakfast is one of the hardest meals to pack in a lot of protein. If you look at most of the traditional breakfast proteins, such as whole eggs, bacon, sausage, and ham, they are all loaded with fat and sodium. You want to ingest the best food to gain weight, and by weight, I mean rock solid lean muscle mass.
This is a delicious and high protein breakfast meal idea that will be ideal for anyone who has an extra “meal prep” protein left over, such as ground turkey, beef, or chicken. We will be incorporating some “non-traditional” breakfast meats into this scrambler, making it even more delicious and full of the best foods to eat to gain weight.
When you compare my high protein egg scrambler recipe to a traditional breakfast, such as whole eggs and bacon or pancakes and sausage, it literally blows these options out of the water! This high protein egg scrambler contains nearly 5 times the amount of protein and twice the amount of healthy fats.
Let me share with you the exact recipe for my egg scrambler. Bon appétit!
High Protein Egg Scrambler Recipe
This recipe has a lot of room for minor tweaks and adjustments, depending on what you guys prefer. One thing is certain – this high protein egg scrambler packs in a ton of the best foods to gain weight.
Things you will need for this recipe:
Liquid egg whites
Chopped veggies (I used Power Greens and Onions)
Cooking spray or olive oil
¼ pound leftover meal prep protein (ground turkey, beef, or chicken)
Sliced avocado
Seasoning (I used cayenne pepper and Mrs. Dash Salt Free Seasoning)
As you can see, this recipe is filled with healthy foods to gain weight, such as liquid egg whites, chopped veggies, olive oil, lean protein, and sliced avocado. This high protein egg scrambler contains close to 80 grams of protein and 30 grams of healthy fats.
Liquid egg whites are my favorite breakfast protein source and are one of the best foods to gain weight because they are a pure source of protein. Liquid egg whites are a proven muscle builder, and a large carton of liquid egg whites contain 100 grams of protein! I used about half of the carton in my recipe.
Chopped veggies add a wonderful texture and are on the list of healthiest foods in the world. Vegetables help you gain weight and increase your anabolic hormones in a much more outside-the-box way by removing estrogen from your body that can block or lower your testosterone output. This is why getting in fresh vegetables daily is so vital.
Avocados are one of the best high calorie foods to gain weight. They are loaded with monounsaturated fats, which are 9 calories per gram. Avocados add a rich and creamy texture to the egg white scrambler and are one of my favorite foods to gain weight.
This recipe is perfect for any kind of leftover meal prep protein. Any time that you make a lot of ground turkey, ground beef, or grilled chicken, make sure to save a little extra for your high protein breakfast scrambler! In my recipe, I had some leftover 93 percent lean ground turkey, which turned out perfect for my breakfast. This is a really easy way to add in 30-40 extra grams of protein to your breakfast and is a much better protein source than sausage or bacon.
